As I Walk

SNOW SCENE

It finally happened.

Snow!

I was lying down when I looked out my window and caught my breath. “Sadie, it’s snowing!” She, of course, started to bark with excitement. I went downstairs, put on my coat, hat, gloves and boots. I attached Sadie’s leash and away we went.

As Sadie was prancing and tossing snow into the air, I smiled, stuck my tongue out to catch a few flakes and thoroughly enjoyed the moment.

I’m not a real big snow person, but the absence of it this year made quite a difference in my attitude.

I reflected about how our attitudes toward anything that we get used to having can be similar to mine about snow. We’re not crazy about it, but really enjoy it if we haven’t seen it in awhile. Perhaps God was showing me a great lesson in that beautiful snow -- too much of anything can change our enjoyment of it.
